A few months ago I joined Rose City 2012 Reader's European Reading Challenge. This challenge ends today and I didn't do very well. I read five books and that was it, all of them in December.
Today I'm joining the 2013 European Reading Challenge and I expect to do a lot better this time.

? I just looked at your best of 2012 post, and there were plenty of European books on that ;)
ReplyDeleteTony, officially I only read five books for the ERC2012. The others were just part of my normal reading :)
DeleteWell, you're only supposed to count one book per country, so all of that amazing Portuguese literature counts as 1 (one) for the Challenge.
ReplyDeleteMy 2012 count would have been 15, which is unusually high, but almost any year for the past who knows how many I would have read something from the UK, France, and a German-language country, with some combination of Spain, Italy and Russia getting me to five.
Good luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for signing up for the European Reading Challenge! Sorry it took me a while to get here to visit. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYou read some really great books. I am pleased to find your blog. I'm a big Philip Roth fan, so I am going to go read your Roth posts now.
Rose City Reader
Gilion, I should thank you for starting ERC, giving me the encouragement to expand my readings into other countries.
DeleteYep, I've written quite a lot about Roth. Right now I'm taking a break from him, but later on in the year I hope to review the 'Nemesis' tetralogy.
